Looking for an engaging way to develop and apply addition and subtraction skills?
This Valentine’s Day–themed maths escape room is designed to support Year 1 and 2 students as they practise and consolidate one- and two-digit addition and subtraction through a range of purposeful, problem-solving tasks. The puzzles encourage students to apply strategies, check their thinking and make sense of number, as well as develop communication and collaboration skills.
Students work through a series of engaging maths puzzles as they progress through the challenge. Each puzzle requires students to solve addition and subtraction problems in different formats, with codes revealed only when the maths is correctly solved. Completing all puzzles allows students to successfully 'escape'.
