Easter Playdough Mats Numbers 1-10
Overview
Description
These Easter themed playdough mats work on number recognition and counting from 1-10. Children use the picture clue directions to make items from playdough corresponding with the number on the mat.
Each mat in this pack features a number from 1-10 and simple picture prompt. Children will practise counting and work on their fine motor skills as they complete Easter themed pictures - adding eggs to a basket, ears to a bunny, carrots to a garden etc. Children will roll their playdough into a 'snake' to form the numeral, and then use dough to add the matching number of items. A picture clue is provided so reading is not required to successfully complete this activity! You could also choose to use dry erase markers and counters with these mats.
Simply print and laminate the mats and they're ready to use as an Easter maths activity!
Working with playdough is an excellent way for children to work on their fine motor skills. Rolling, kneading and shaping the dough helps to strengthen hand muscles, assisting with pencil control and writing stamina. Make this task even more fun by adding sprinkles and essential oils to pastel coloured dough for extra Easter magic!
