Description
Cartesian Plane Coordinate System Ordered Pairs 5th - 6th Grade Math | WARM UP Are you in search of an engaging method to introduce or revisit the Cartesian Plane? This Rapid Recall Routine (Warm Up) will help your students learn to locate points in the 4 quadrants of a Cartesian Plane and also identify and describe its components, such as x-axis, y-axis, origin, coordinates and ordered pairs.
Rapid Recall Routines (Warm ups) are a quick way to recall, review and reinforce concepts to ensure long-term retention.
Rapid Recall Routines can be used to intentionally remind students of their prior learning, to introduce new content or to 'switch on' their thinking in preparation for more challenging concepts.
The Cartesian Plane Rapid Recall Routine will provide 7-10 minutes of engaging daily practice for your students to recite, recall and apply their knowledge and understanding of the Coordinate Plane.
Students recite and recall descriptions of the components of the Cartesian Plane, then apply their knowledge and understanding to locate points in the four quadrants.
This Rapid Recall Routine can be used as a whole class warm up, a small group consolidation session or for individual practice and revision. The slides can be used as a digital presentation or printed and used as flash cards.
