These worksheets are designed to target and consolidate Year 3 money skills in two different formats. The FOLD ITS format is my original design and I made it to reduce the amount of work the student could see at the beginning of the task. The LANDSCAPE format is a simple back-to-back worksheet targeting similar skills but does not require folding. The skill sets are very similar and are divided into three sections:

• - Counting the coins/notes and writing the amount
• - Ordering the value of the six items included the shop
• - Calculating which coins and notes are needed to buy each item, the change that will be received (if any) and the residual amount

The FOLD ITS can be an ideal presentation for all students if they can manage the two folds because it adds novelty (for motivation) and will appeal to students who need more support by limiting content exposure and dividing it into incremental steps which they can eventually master. They would be ideal for small group work when there is assistance to help with the folding.

13. Fish Shop - calculations to $3.00
14. Music Shop - calculations to $50.00
15. Truck Shop - calculations to $100.00
16. Car Shop - calculations to $600.00

I have included eleven Money Posters for extra scaffolding.

Because this is a complex step in understanding money I would present the easier worksheets first for a diverse class. They could also be used as an independent activity once the worksheet process was understood.
