The game has been developed for readers who need need to construct and deconstruct multi-syllable words. These are the students who guess an unknown word based on the first letter or syllable, although players of all abilities will improve fluency rates the more the game is played.

There are three cards that make a three-syllable word when sequenced correctly. A Word List is included with each game to scaffold the sequencing of each syllable.

Spoons is an old game that is easily adapted to skill targets. You will need a number of spoons (or similar items) and up to six players. There are 36 cards in each deck and you can combine decks if you wish to increase player numbers. There is a short and a longer version depending on time constraints.
