There are three sets of task cards for counting groups of Australian coins up to $5.00. The three different sets of task cards allow the teacher to differentiate or use the task cards throughout the year, changing the sets as the students become proficient.

Students are required to count groups of coins, decide whether the total is less than, more than or equal to the target amount and place the card in the correct group. After each go the student records the amount on their recording sheet. Another player may use the answer card to check the count is correct.

There are 3 games:

Game 1: Groups of coins less than, equal to and more than $1.00.

Game 2: Groups of coins less than, equal to and more than $2.00.

Game 3: Groups of coins and notes ($5.00 note only) less than, equal to and more than $5.00.
