Description
Are your students constantly coming to you with 'problems' that don't quite match their over-the-top reactions? Whether it's an empty drink bottle, a broken pencil or an untied shoelace, young children often have trouble discerning the difference between 'big problems' and 'small problems'.
This bundle includes three of our resources that can form a complete lesson:
- A whole class sorting activity that will springboard conversations about what problems warrant a big or small reaction, using examples such as 'Not picked to answer a question' and 'Snake in the school'. This works really well when printed in A3 and displayed in the classroom!
- Small group or independent cut & paste sorting activity where students can discuss between themselves problems such as 'You came last in a game' and 'Fire in the school'.
- Independent draw and write activity that will have students drawing an example of their own small and big problem, with three differentiated options.
This resource pairs perfectly with Pevan & Sarah's new music video, 'What Size is Your Problem?'. Sign up to Cub Club to access the video, along with these printable resources and many others.
