Six of the sheets have dashed lines for the children to draw on. The other six sheets include dashed lines within a defined outline, guiding the children in their drawing.

Each page, as well as having 4 different tracing lines, also tells a story by adding an item from the left of the picture to the right of the picture. For example, one of the pages features a Christmas tree on the right-hand side. On the left-hand side, there are items that need to be added to complete the tree. The first item is the base of the tree, followed by the star for the top, candy canes for decoration, and presents for under the tree. Children trace the lines from these items on the left to add them to the Christmas tree on the right. The last line shows the Christmas Tree with the base in place, the star on the top, the candy canes placed on the tree, and the present ready to be placed under the tree.
