Your students will enjoy this decodable reading game. It is suitable for literacy groups, guided reading groups, small group intervention or one on one intervention. The idea of the game is that students turn over a card and read it. They then decide if the answer is either yes or no to the question. Depending on the 3 recording sheets you select to use, the game works in slightly different ways but instructions are included when you purchase the game. There are over 300 questions to read. This game was designed as a fun way to work on decoding, fluency and automaticity. It is available in 4 levels to suit the needs of your students. The four levels include: Level 1: CVC Level 2: CCVC and CVCC Level 3: Digraphs Level 4: Spelling Rules It is available in Sassoon, NSW, QLD, Vic Cursive, TAS, SA and Kindy Font (Easy for any Early Years Learner to read). There are 3 different templates that you can select from- a tick or tally chart for yes and no answers, a tens frame for counters to be placed on depending on how many yes or no answers you get or a pile sort- yes or no, or block towers and card stacks (These are all explained in more detail within the resource) Please note: Each question is colour coded. It is colour coded for the following reasons: 1. It makes it easier to differentiate. Eg. If you are in the 'lemon' reading group, you will be using the pink cards today, and then they can get started straight away without you having to do all the preparation and pack up. 2. It makes it easier for students to pack up at the end of literacy groups, sorting the cards by colours and placing them back into their bags, storage tubs or placing an elastic band around them 3. It helps you save time having to sort them, and not muddle up levels. This is important so students are working on a skill at their level. If you wish for them to be black and white, simply print them in greyscale :) Thank you and I hope you love this fun reading activity, just as much as I do! Optional: … [truncated]
