Turn and talk to your partners is a great strategy for ensuring ALL students are actively involved in their learning. It is extremely popular with the new EDI pedagogy (explicit direct instruction). Use these partner cards for turn and talk to your partner. At the beginning of the day, each student picks a card and they find their partner they will be talking to during discussions for the day. This takes the constant workload of the teacher to try and pair up students when having discussions. Students will know who their partner is for the day. These cards are cute and easy to use. 

There is a dessert version and an animals version for the younger years. There are 15 pairs (30 individual cards) in each version. Enough to cover each student in the class.
