## Good to Know for NT Teachers

**Teachers start before students each term.** In Term 1 teachers start on Monday 25 January, Tuesday 26 January is the Australia Day holiday, and students start on Wednesday 27 January. In Terms 2, 3 and 4 teachers start on the Monday and students on the Tuesday. At the end of the year students finish on Thursday 9 December and teachers on Friday 10 December.

**Holiday dates are the days between terms.** The NT Government publishes start and finish dates for each term. The holiday dates on this page are the days in between for students.

**A long mid-year break.** Students finish Term 2 on Friday 18 June and return on Tuesday 13 July.

**Easter is in Term 1.** Term 1 runs to Friday 2 April, so Good Friday (26 March) and Easter Monday (29 March) fall in the last two weeks of term.

**Show days are regional.** Katherine (Friday 16 July), Darwin (Friday 23 July) and Borroloola (Friday 13 August) show days fall in Term 3. Alice Springs (Friday 2 July) and Tennant Creek (Friday 9 July) fall in the holidays.
