How It Works
The import tool creates draft listings with product information from TPT, including thumbnails! You select products, review listings, and add resource files before publishing.
Four-Step Process
- Extraction -- TPT product details are emailed as CSV files.
- Verification -- Upload CSV to review data accuracy and marketplace alignment.
- Importing -- Draft listings are created with all details and thumbnails.
- Publication -- Add resource files and publish listings.
Step 1: Get Your TPT Data
- Sign into your TeachBuySell account.
- Select Bulk Import from the Manage Listings page (requires verification).
- Enter your TPT store URL.
- Click Email my TPT products.
- Receive CSV files (split into 50-record batches).
If your files don't arrive within 2 hours, contact our support team.
Step 2: Prepare Your Data
- Save CSV files to your computer.
- Open the import tool.
- Upload one CSV file via drag-and-drop.
Step 3: Correct and Update Data
- Delete unwanted rows.
- Update red-highlighted cells to align with our marketplace.
- Link online storage using the Product Files URL column.
- Adjust prices using the % Price Adjustment Rate (USD to AUD) column.
- Enhance listings with curriculum alignment, learning settings, themes, teaching methods, and learning needs.
Price Conversion Example: $1.00 USD at 45% adjustment = approximately $1.45 AUD.
Step 4: Finalise Import
- Click the Import button.
- Wait for draft listings to be created.
- Monitor email for completion notification.
Step 5: Add Resource Files and Publish
- Download TPT resources using the provided links.
- Drag and drop the downloaded resource files directly into the listing's Files & Previews tab.
- Review pricing, subjects, year levels, and resource types.
- Publish listings.
Tips for a Smoother Import
- Search and Replace: Click red cells to browse valid options and replace all instances simultaneously.
- View Errors Only: Filter the right-side menu to display specific error types.
- Replace with Empty: Remove unwanted data by selecting the Empty option.
- Use Relevant Categories: Align your products with our marketplace's categories rather than TPT categories.
