Questions
What does it cost to sell?
A one-off $50 AUD to open your store. After that there is no yearly fee and no fee per sale, and you keep 80% of every sale.
Do I need a subscription?
No. Your store, the TPT importer, promo codes, stats on every product, Listing Improvements and the monthly report all come with it. There is nothing to renew.
What can I sell?
Your own original digital teaching resources for Australian early childhood, primary and secondary teachers. That includes resources aligned with the Australian Curriculum and ones that work in any classroom, such as fonts and clip art.
Can I sell my resources on other sites too?
Yes. Sell the same resources on TPT, your own website or anywhere else at the same time. There is no exclusivity.
Do I keep the rights to my work?
Yes. Your work stays yours. TeachBuySell only uses it to show, promote and deliver your listings here, and that ends when you remove a resource or close your store. Teachers who already bought it keep their copy.
When and how do I get paid?
On the 7th of each month, for everything you earned the month before, so June sales are paid on 7 July. Payments go through Stripe and can take 3 to 5 business days to reach your bank.
How does my first listing get approved?
When you publish your first listing it is checked against our quality standards. Once it is approved you are a verified seller, and every listing after that goes live as soon as you publish it.
Can I bring my TPT store across?
Yes. After your first listing is approved, the TPT importer copies your titles, descriptions, prices, images and previews in minutes, with categories already matched. Then drop in your files, or a whole folder, and approve where each one goes.
How the TPT importer worksCan I sell from outside Australia?
Yes, as long as your resources suit Australian classrooms. I am still setting up automatic payouts for sellers outside Australia, so leave your details and I will email you as soon as it is ready.
