Buyers keep access to everything they have bought, including later versions. This guide covers how to update a resource, how buyers find out, and how to sell a unit that grows over time.
Updating a Resource
- Go to Manage Listings and open the listing you want to update.
- On the Files & Previews tab, upload the new version of your file.
- Select Save. You'll be asked whether to notify your past customers.
- Save & Notify Customers saves your changes and emails everyone who has bought the resource. You can add a personal message, for example a short note on what changed.
- Save Only saves your changes without sending an email.
Either way, buyers get the new file. The resource is marked as updated in their My Downloads page, and they can download the latest version free.
Growing Bundles
A growing bundle is a bundle you keep adding to after buyers have purchased it. It suits units released in stages. For example, a 16-lesson unit where lessons 1 to 8 are ready now and lessons 9 to 16 come later.
Setting one up:
- List each part (for example, each lesson or set of lessons) as its own resource.
- Create a bundle that includes the parts that are ready.
- On the Specifics tab, set Growing Bundle to Yes.
Growing bundles show a "Growing bundle" label on the listing page, so buyers know more is coming.
Adding to it later:
- Create the new resource.
- Open the bundle, add the new resource on the Resources & Previews tab, and select Save.
- Select Save & Notify Customers to email everyone who has bought the bundle. You can include a personal message.
Past buyers get the new resources at no extra cost. They appear in the bundle on their My Downloads page.
