These worksheets and task cards provide support for your teaching of pattern in grade 1. The resource requires students to continue picture, colour, growing and skip-counting patterns. Students will investigate how to label patterns in order to describe and continue them and create their own patterns.
The worksheets and task cards are aligned with the Australian Curriculum Mathematics Number and Algebra for Year 1 (ACMNA018).
The worksheets would make excellent consolidation and review work and may be used to assess your students’ understanding. The task cards may be used for whole class games such as Scoot and Scavenger Hunt (instructions included) or by small groups or individuals during Maths rotations/centres. Recording sheets and answers are also included.
