Description
This PowerPoint is a REVIEW. It does not include my explicit Vowel Team ow and ou Interactive PowerPoints but it does include slides to review the Vowel Teams ow and ou- representing the /ow/ vowel sound.
It focuses on:
- ow being used to represent the /ow/ sound at the end of a word.
- ou being used to represent the /ow/ sound at the start or in the middle of a word.
This Interactive PowerPoint is a review. It allows students to read and sort words with the vowel teams ou and ow .
- A Vowel Team review- reminding students about the vowel teams and what sounds they represent.
- A child friendly Learning Intention.
- Select the correct spelling choice by applying the spelling rule.
- Look at the ou and ow picture and write a sentence to match the picture.
- Help the snow owl to sort the ou and ow mounds.
- Mixed ou and ow decodable words.
- Decodable Sentences.

The decodable sentences included could also be used as dictation- where the teacher asks the students to write a sentence one word at a time, to assess learning to see if students are applying this spelling rule.
