VOWEL TEAMS OA, OW AND OE (MAKING THE LONG /O/ SOUND) REVIEW ONLY!
Overview
Description
This PowerPoint is a REVIEW. It does not include my explicit Vowel Team oa, ow and oe Interactive PowerPoints but it does include slides to review the Vowel Teams oa, ow and oe- all representing the long /o/ vowel sound.
It focuses on:
- oa being used at the start and middle of a word to represent the long /o/ sound.
- ow being more common to use at the end of a word.
- oe being a rare spelling choice.
This Interactive PowerPoint is a review. It allows students to read and sort words with the vowel teams oa, ow and oe.
This animated PowerPoint includes:
- A Vowel Team review- reminding students about the vowel teams and what sounds they represent.
- A child friendly Learning Intention.
- Select the correct spelling choice by applying the spelling rule.
- Help the fireflies glow by reading the oa, ow and oe words.
- Help the boats travel to the correct coast by reading and sorting the oa, ow and oe words.
- Mixed oa, ow, oe decodable words.
- Decodable Sentences.
It is available in 6 fonts:
· Tas
· Vic Cursive
· Sassoon

· SA
The decodable sentences included could also be used as dictation- where the teacher asks the students to write a sentence one word at a time, to assess learning to see if students are applying this spelling rule.
