In this activity, children will practise counting small collections of Australian coins. This pack includes two clip strip variations and is perfect to use as a maths small group task.

Children will use a peg to match collections of coins to their value. They will either read a written amount and clip the coin collection that that matches, or count coins and clip the correct amount. The 44 cards include amounts from 10c - $5.00.

To prepare this resource simply print and laminate the cards. It's easy to make this activity self correcting - just place a sticker or dot behind the answer on each card. Children will clip and flip the card to see if their choice matches!
