Description
Your students are learning to identify the numbers that come before and after a given number up to 100. Your students require opportunities to practice this skill. As a teacher you are looking for an engaging resource which can be used with a whole class, or individually with visual support for students whose skills are still emerging. How about differentiation for Numbers that come before and after all the way to 100? Numbers Before and After 1-100 is a digital, engaging resource, formatted in Google Slides that will provide extensive opportunities for your students to practise their skills.
This Numbers Before and After 1-100 contains 143 Google Slides. No extra formatting required - simply assign the tasks to your students. No Prep, printing or pencils required.
These Google slides have been created to be assigned to your Google Classroom to provide your students plenty of fun, interactive opportunities to develop their before and after number skills. In the early grades there can be a wide range of student abilities. To scaffold the learning of numbers to 20 the early numbered slides include a number line to assist students. As students develop their skills, and move on to larger numbers they no longer require number lines.
The slides are divided into
- Before Numbers (1-20) and Numbers (21-100)
- After Numbers (1-20) and Numbers (21-100)
- Before and After a set number (1-20) and (21-100)
In addition a separate slide with a number line has been included as well as a written explanation with an example explaining how to count on and count back. Interactive resources encourage students to take risks that they may not take when using just pencils and paper.
How to use this resource
Your students simply click inside the preformatted text boxes and type in the correct numbers. This resource works well on the interactive whiteboard for a whole class math warmup. Google Slides also works well as an individual activity for math group rotations or even for homework. This resource is also useful as an intervention task for students consolidating their skills.
Google Slides can also be downloaded and printed for a hands on resource in your maths rotations. Simply cover the slides with plastic sleeve when printed and students can write answers on with a whiteboard marker.
