Silent letters can be lots of fun with games like GO FISH. When phonic conventions misbehave play games that make the adjustment easy. There are five sets of games with 52 cards per set; 26 matching pairs. You can leave out pairs without it affecting the game. You can mix and match sets to target particular silent letters. There is a discreet labelling system that allows you to reconstitute the sets easily if you need to. The illustrated card in each set provides the flexibility for pre-teaching.
