The best way to improve fluency rates is with reading, but this game is the next best thing. It is highly engaging and you can use it over and over again. That's a lot of reading with 12 boards to choose from and 600 words to practise on.

You need two players for each board and a six-sided die. Each player needs to mark the spaces they win, so a pencil is fine if you are using it like a worksheet. The throw of the die will make it a different game each time. If you laminate your chosen board/s you can use them for years and you can cater for a whole class if you have enough dice.
