Bring fun and laughter into your classroom this April Fool's Day with this April Fool's Day Prank Mazes Activity. This lighthearted, low prep activity introduces fun without hurt feelings or any students being embarassed. With two impossible mazes plus one solvable maze, you can even prank your students twice!

What is included with this resource?

✅Two impossible to solve mazes - students run into dead ends when they get 3/4 of the way through the maze.

How to use this resource?

Puzzles just for fun? Students usually jump at the chance to complete a task just for the fun of it. However if you teach older students, Year 5 and 6 students, who may have been pranked previously they may be on the look out for teacher pranks. This is where the second maze comes in.

Offer the first maze for students to complete. When they realise it is impossible to complete, you can say "Oh you discovered the joke - well done!" Then you have two choices.

If the original maze took students a while and/or you teach younger students you may just wish to finish the activity by giving them the real maze.

Or you can give older/ faster to finish students the second prank maze. Students will think this is the real solvable maze and you can prank them a second time before announcing April Fool's Day!

Wrap up the activity by handing them their April Fool's Day Certificates.
