Description

Are you looking for a handy cost effective resource to support your schools synthetic phonics program? Well then these reading strips are for you, and there are over 200 decodable strips available in this resource in 4 different fonts, making these perfect for your classroom!

This resource is set 2 of my Synthetic Phonics decodable keyring sentences and focuses on building on set ones a-z single sounds with floss and ck digraphs and moving into spelling rules such as silent final e, r controlled, vowel teams, blends.

Simply print, laminate and cut these strips and sort them into their colours. Then hole punch each strip in the centre of the coloured part and place a metal keyring on each colour, making a total of 15 differentiated keyrings that follow the order on the key provided, or you could make them into mini keyrings and add them to your take home reader box . Available in Vic Cursive, Sassoon, NSW and Qld fonts.

Decodable texts are very expensive to purchase, therefore I have made these to bulk up your collection, to go alongside the many decodable books out there on the market. It allows students to read a variety of sentences and improve their blending, automaticity and fluency.

Follow the easy to read key to know what sounds/ rules are the focus in each colour! Parents love these are they are quick, simple to use and still allow students to work on their reading skills. It is great for vocabulary building as families can talk about words and their meanings.

They can also great for teachers to listen to beginning readers blend words in a time effective way! Please note: It is pack 2, so if you are after single sounds a ck, with floss, find set 1 on my TPT.

Please note these do require the students to know some sight words such as to, do, the, said, they, you, my.
