Grammar Puzzles - Homophones
Overview
Description
These homophone puzzles are the perfect grammar resource for your little learners! Children match the homophones to complete each two piece puzzle. All Australian state fonts are included in this resource.
Homophones are words that have the same pronunciation, but different meanings and spelling. Developing an understanding of these words assists children to make meaning while reading and choose appropriate spelling when writing. Introduce them in a fun way with these puzzles!
To prepare this resource, simply print and laminate the puzzle pages and cut them into pieces. This activity is perfect as a literacy small group task, as a 'Fast Finisher' option or for independent practice. Black & white options have been included if you would prefer to print on coloured paper. These can also be used as a cut & paste activity for children to complete in their notebooks.
Words included: ate/eight, flour/flower, hair/hare, knight/night, mail/male, one/won, pair/pear, read/red, road/rode, sea/see, son/sun, tea/tee.
