Description

Add fun to recognising and adding small amounts of notes and coins (ACMNA034) with these two sets. There are 36 cards in each set, enough for whole class practice or use them in group work with each player having multiple cards. All Australian coins are included, plus the 5 and 10 dollar notes, with combinations adding up to $20.00.

The game starts with the player who has the START card. The class can be sitting or standing, in a circle or at their desks. Some students may have more than one card.

To target fluency record the time it takes to go from START to FINISH.

Money amounts are varied with Set 2 having more addition involved but not renaming cents as dollars (except 50¢ + 50¢).

Set A: (1 or 2 denominations to $20.00): (COINS) 5¢ - $1.20 - 50¢ - $1.50 - 20¢ - $1.05 - 10¢ - 60¢ - $1.10 - 70¢ - 55¢ - $2.00 - 15¢ - $2.50 - 3.00 - $2.20 - $2.05 - (NOTES/COINS) $2.10 - $5.00 - $6.00 - $10.50 - $10.00 - $10.20 - $7.00 - $5.50 - $5.20 - $5.05 - $10.05 - $11.00 - $12.00 - $15.00 - $10.10 - $9.00 - $5.10 - $20.00

Set B: (Coins Only - Multiple denominations - $2.00): 15¢ - 40¢ - $1.00 - 65¢ - 55¢ - 45¢ - 75¢ - 35¢ - 90¢ - 50¢ - 60¢ - 25¢ - 80¢ - 70¢ - 20¢ - 30¢ - 95¢ - 85¢ - $1.25 - $1.30 - $4.00 - $1.45 - $1.50 - $4.15 - $7.00 - $3.05 - $3.50 - $1.70 - $10.00 - $5.05 - $5.10 - $2.35 - $3.60 - $6.05 - $2.00

Set A has only one or two elements so it is the easier of the sets, especially the first 18 cards. The first 18 cards in Set B are easier as well.

I have included my Australian Currency Posters for display and scaffolding.
