Description

This product contains the following:

-- 77 page PROGRAM with

- Concept Development pages

- Consolidation activities

- Fun stuff

- Worksheets (individual, group or whole class)

-- 75 page ANSWER BOOK

+ Screeners

This is the program I wished I had many years ago when my classroom had 26 students across all primary grades. I would have administered the screeners in this program and been able to differentiate quickly.

This program is designed to hand to a teaching assistant who has seen it and understands how it is organised. The PREVIEW explains the structure. The ANSWER BOOK provides all the answers as well as extra ideas for concept development, consolidation and generalising. In this way it would also suit home schooling.

The algorithm development uses the vertical format to target place value as that is where I see the most difficulty and the vertical format with a place value mat and MAB is very effective in addressing that.

You could reduce the size of the pages and print back to back, making a workbook of 19 pages for economy if you wished to go that way.

I recommend games to consolidate skills because I use them all the time in my intervention sessions and I know they work. The repetition of playing a game leads to mastery. The trick is to match the game to the skill deficit so your students progress quickly.
