Description

These two games will consolidate Year 2 Australian money skills (ACMNA034). The target skill is recognition and addition of Australian money at two different ability levels. The bonus is that you can use them for intervention (prior to playing) by matching picture and amount as well as sequencing.

DONKEY is my most popular game. Each game has 53 cards - 26 matching pairs, plus a Donkey card. They are uniform in size so you can mix and match. You can play with a small number of pairs and it won't change the game (i.e., just using the pairs with single coins or notes). DONKEY is so much fun students want to play over and over, and it's this repetition that leads to mastery. I have included my Australian Money Posters for scaffolding or display.
