Description
Add fun to prefixes when you introduce 'mis' meaning 'incorrect' or 'badly'. There are fifty words in this game and you can use it over and over like a worksheet because every time your students play it will be different. You need two players and a six-sided die for each game. If you have enough dice you can play as a whole class. I call it a worksheet/game because it has the function of a worksheet to consolidate or review, but, as a game it provides lots of fun as well because the throw of the die will add excitement.
The Flash Cards I have included may be used in any way you choose, but I use them for intervention prior to playing. They are a good size to teach syllabication and morphology and even vocabulary building if it's needed.
The words I have used are:
mistaken, mistrust, misuse, misbehave, mismatch, miscall, misfit, mislaid, misled, mishap, misquote, misjudge, misspoke, misspent, misstep, misgiving, misguided, misdirect, misdoing, mistrial, misinformed, misfire, miscarry, misprint mistimed, misdeal, misread, misdeed, misspelt, misheard, misunderstand, misapply, miscount, misused, mislead, misbelief, misfortune, mischief, misconduct, miscue, misdiagnose, mistreat, misfeed, mishandle, misinterpret, mispronounce. misrule, misrepresent, mismanage, mistook
