R U OK? Day How to Ask Conversation Starters Classroom Poster Set for Year 5 and Year 6
Overview
Description
R U OK? Day encourages individuals to initiate conversations and check in on family and friends. This skill of asking "are you ok" can be modelled and supported with these R U OK? Day set of 40 classroom posters aligned to the Australian Curriculum for Years 5 and 6.
What is included in this resource?
R U Ok? Day Classroom Posters resource includes 40 posters each with a speech bubble containing a different way to check in with someone and ask them "R U Ok". This resource demonstrates that there is no one correct way to ask "are you ok".
As well as 40 examples of conversation starters, 4 blank speech bubbles have been included. Students can use these to creat and record their own way for checking in on someone.
The 40 provided posters are not editable. The speech bubble is on a yellow background as yellow is used to represent R U Ok Day as the colour yellow is connected to the idea of optimism, joy and hope.
How to use this resource?
These 40 no prep posters ard a quick and easy way to create a useful classroom display. Display in your classroom or on a hallway bulletin board. School counsellors can also use these posters.
Print them 4 to a page and students can keep one mini flashcard with them to refer to if needed.
In addition to creating a wall display, the powerpoint file can be viewed in slideshow mode as a presentation. View the powerpoint presentation on a class IWB as a whole class lesson introduction.
