Sentence Reading Card Game -Shiver Me Timbers
Overview
Description
In this activity children practice reading simple sentences by playing a fun and fast-paced game! This resource can be used as a small group task to develop reading fluency. All Australian state print options are included.
To play, children take turns choosing a card. They read the sentence shown, and keep the card. If a pirate card is drawn, that player must return their cards to the bottom of the pile! Treasure chest cards are treated as fun freebies for players to keep as they are turned over. The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner!
This resource is easy to prepare - simply print, laminate and cut! Your students will love playing this interactive game that encourages reading fluency.
