Overview

Description

Are you prioritising student self-regulation in establishing a calm classroom this year? Do you have a wide range of student behavioural needs in your classroom? Are you looking for resources to support student self-regulation and establishing a classroom calm space? Student Calm Down Coping Strategies in the Classroom for Self Regulation is the perfect bundle to support your students as they develop their capacity to self-regulate their emotions in the learning space. I designed this resource to support classroom teachers, like you, who wanted to explicitly teach their students a wide range of calming, coping strategies that would work within the classroom learning space.

What does this resource include?

Having taught students with special needs for 20 years I knew exactly what a classroom teacher needed from the individual level to the whole school level to explicitly model and teach calming down strategies as well as establish a calm down space in the classroom.

This resource includes

Calm Down Posters - brigh, colourful posters with a range of passive to active strategies - 1 image per A4 page. Great as a bulletin board display.

Calm Down Choice Boards - perfect for displaying as a reminder in your calm down area itself. These also work well to send home with students as a reference for parents.

Editable Student Calm Down Space Bunting - a gorgeous addition to your classroom highlighting and personalising your safe space. In addition to the images, the bunting has text if you wish to use the slogan "we can be calm in class" as well as blank bunting flags for students to illustrate with their own images.

Student Calm Down Coping Strategies - First - Next - Then - designed for students to pre fill out and take with them to the calm down space. Many students need more than one coping strategy to use when attempting to self-regulate their feelings. Available in 2 styles - first next then and 1-2-3.

Student Calm Down Strategies Desk Name Plates - these are a gorgeous, customisable option for providing students with easy, quick reminder of their calming down options. Students can select their preferred calm down options and place them on their desk chart. Students can easily change and swap their coping strategies as they learn new ones. In addition students with additional needs do not need to stand out from their mainstream peers. Further these are fantastic for relief and casual teachers who may be unaware how best to meet your student's needs.

Student Calm Down Coping Strategies Colouring in Book - Aus Spelling. This booklet includes 40 pages of mindful colouring activities with each image focusing on a student calm down strategy. This is great for fast finishers, for use in the calm down space as an activity or for being sent home to students.

 BONUS FILE

This bundle has a bonus file is student calm coping strategies in a keyring size. Perfect for students who need to take their visuals with them as they move around the school from your classroom to other rooms and specialists. Simply print and then put onto a student keyring so the student can show them to new adults they interact with.
