This game is lots of fun and brings high levels of engagement to learning suffixes. There are five games with 45 cards in each game. Each player is dealt five cards. They need the base card with the suffix and its meaning with four examples as well as the four word cards that match to win. The target skill is reading with the focus on the word endings. This will enhance deconstruction as a reading strategy and should reduce guessing the word based on looking at the first syllable.

Each game has a different colour border.

There are no illustrations in this version of the game. If students need more support through intervention, prior to playing, I recommend my Spoons game that has three cards to each set (instead of five), with the word cards illustrated.
