Description

This is the illustrated version of the game SPOONS adapted for suffixes. It is an ideal game to use for intervention or for younger students. There are three cards to match to win and all sets are the same colour so you can mix them to suit your teaching.


The words used are:

Set 1: y (thirsty, rainy), ly (friendly, gladly), ist (artist, dentist), or (actor, sailor), er (helper, farmer), ful (spoonful, careful), age (marriage, wreckage), ing (sinking, crying), s (boys, clouds)

Set 2: y (windy, smelly), ly (slowly, quickly), ist (scientist, cyclist), or (surveyor, director), less (cordless, flightless), ful (playful, painful), ed (camped, folded), ing (skating, skiing), er (boxer, miner)
