Description
This torn paper craft calendar is a year-long classroom project based on Australian seasons and holidays. Students complete one calendar page per month to create a meaningful, low-prep end-of-year keepsake parents will treasure.
Instead of last-minute crafts, this project is completed gradually across the year — low-stress, low-prep, and highly meaningful.
How the Torn Paper Calendar Works
- Complete one month at a time throughout the school year. I complete them during my school's alternate parade weeks. I also set these as an activity while I'm pulling students for assessment conferences and as an easy last week of term activity when I'm too exhausted to plan anything else!
- Each month reflects Australian seasons and holidays
- Students use torn paper craft to build fine motor skills. Younger students could also just colour the pages.
- Store completed pages in a folder and assemble into a finished calendar at year’s end
- This approach saves time and stress at the end of the year and creates a gift families genuinely value.
