This resource consists of two files that are zipped. The first file is the coloured Vowel Recognition Maze Mats. Ideal for printing to use with plastic sleeves or to laminate, these mats were created for students to use to develop their vowel recognition skills during reading groups/centers.

You may also choose to print the Vowel Recognition Maze mats in black and white for students to use as worksheets.. Ideal for morning work, individual work, revision or fast finishers.

How do I use this resource in my classroom?

This resource is used in multiple ways, in Foundation classrooms, for reading group center rotations, for morning tub work activities, as an intervention task, for homework and for fast finishers.

When using the coloured Vowel Recognition Mazes I like to use plastic covers to preserve the worksheets. Alternatively you could laminate the mazes. Students can use whiteboard markers or counters to mark the path through the maze.
