This PowerPoint is a REVIEW. It does not include my explicit Vowel Team ai and ay Interactive PowerPoints but it does include slides to review the Vowel Teams ai and ay- Representing the long /a/ sound.


It focuses on ai being used at the start and middle of a word to represent /a/ and ay being used at the end of a word to represent the sound /a/.


You can get the Vowel Team ai/ ay (making the long /a/ bundle on my TBS page too.


This Interactive PowerPoint is a review. It allows students to read and sort words with the vowel teams ai and ay.


This animated PowerPoint includes:

- A Vowel Team review- reminding students about the vowel teams and what sounds they represent.

- A child friendly Learning Intention.

- Sort the ai and ay words on the hay bails.

- Pick the correct spelling choice game.

- Mixed ai/ ay decodable words.

- Decodable Sentences.

- Put a bandaid on Ray the frail teddy if the ai/ ay word is spelt incorrectly.


It is available in 6 fonts:

The decodable sentences included could also be used as dictation- where the teacher asks the students to write a sentence one word at a time, to assess learning to see if students are applying this spelling rule.
