Tools for Speech Pathologists & OTs
Language, communication, and motor skills tools
This page lists tools for speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and allied-health professionals working in Australian schools — in-school clinicians, private practice providers, and teachers delivering Tier 2 language or motor supports. Tools are grouped by the clinical jobs they actually do.
For language and literacy intervention: articulation flashcard generators (phoneme-controlled by initial/medial/final position), minimal-pair word searches for contrast work, morphology builders for prefixes and suffixes, narrative-retell scaffolds, sentence-structure scaffolds, and comprehension question builders tied to a chosen text. For AAC users: symbol-supported text generators, core-word activity builders, and printable communication-board templates that respect the student's existing AAC system (PODD, core boards, LAMP layouts).
For occupational therapy: fine motor worksheets (tracing, cutting, pre-writing strokes), visual-motor integration activities, handwriting practice generators with size and line-style control, scissor-skills sheets, and visual-schedule and sensory-diet builders. For interoception and emotion-regulation work: feelings check-ins, Zones of Regulation–style printables, and routine visuals that fit into classroom flow.
We prioritise tools that output print-ready PDFs because laminated, reusable materials still underpin most clinic-room and push-in work. Where a tool is suitable for parent carryover, we note that. Tools that have been reviewed or co-designed with Australian-registered speech pathologists (SPA-accredited) or OTs (AHPRA-registered) are called out on the card.
