Hello, I'm Yasemin.

I'm so happy you stopped by! You're in the right place if you're a primary school art teacher, looking to save time and energy researching and planning art lessons aligned to the Australian Curriculum. The Primary School Art Zone is a growing store, dedicated to making primary school art teachers' lives easier, by providing research based, curriculum aligned and easy to implement art lessons, games and other resources, with an aim to encourage student creativity and visual expression all year round. Before starting The Primary School Art Zone, I was in education for 15+ years and taught all year levels (Foundation to Grade 6), first as a classroom teacher and then as the Art Teacher. I've also been the Foundation and 3/4 PLC Leader, Specialist PLC Leader and Arts PLT Leader. Throughout my career, I had the honour of mentoring graduates and coaching other teachers in implementing the curriculum, and developing their pedagogical knowledge and behaviour and classroom management skills. My goal now is to continue this kind of work by supporting art teachers. I'm also fiercely passionate about self-care for teachers, so that we can serve our students from a place of health and wellbeing. I believe that the Arts and creativity have a big part to play in this, and hope that my contributions will positively serve and impact those that engage with them.
