Teaching Experience: - 30+ years of English teaching experience - across both government and private sector schools; 25 years as Head of English. - pastoral care teacher and Head of Year experience Teaching style: - Student-focused - committed to meeting students at their stage of learning and building learner relationships, based on mutual respect, engagement and authenticity. - Catering to the range of learner types - including students with learning needs and diagnoses (eg. ADHD, Autism, auditory processing) Education history: Bachelor of Arts/Graduate Diploma in Education (English/Teacher Librarian) Additional biographical information: I'm Cathy, founder of White Space Words and lover of words (of course), my family, and good coffee. I care especially about the power of words. In a world where words are misused, over-used, and used to create division, my mission is to promote the use of words for education, inspiration and love. I am also co-founder of the life writing website, 12 Stories, which supports adults to write their life stories using a simple, engaging 12-week method.
