Description
Kick off a reading challenge in your classroom or at home with this 100 Books Challenge display chart!
We all know how beneficial picture books are for language development, comprehension skills and decoding. So why not commit to reading 100 books and tracking it together on this chart? This would be a great challenge to start at the beginning of the school year, on a 100 Days of School celebration day or at any time during the year to boost reading at school or home.
WHAT'S INCLUDED
✅️ 1 colour copy of the 100 Books Challenge display chart with 100 books to colour in and help keep track of your total
✅️ 1 black-and-white version for grayscale or low-ink printers
HOW TO USE
⭐️ There are so many ways you could use this display chart! You could print it in poster-size to display in your classroom, and every time you read a picture book together, choose a student to colour in a book.
⭐️ Each student could receive their own copy to keep track of the books they read throughout the year
⭐️ You could send each child home with their own copy to track their home reading with parents and carers
⭐️ The books are set up in rows of ten, with the '10' printed at the end of each row. Every time you check in on how many books you've read together, count by tens and ones to reach the total (sneaky maths skills incorporated, too!)
You can grab all of our 100 Days of School resources with a Pevan & Sarah Cub Club subscription! Sign up to access this printable along with hundreds of other educational videos, songs and printables, made for teachers, by teachers.
