It is a low prep activity and the playing cards can be used in so many ways.
Some ideas include:
- Tickets out the door to do a quick check in- assessment.
- To make pairs or small groups where students have to find the person/ people that have the same shape as them to form a group with for an activity.
- A fun warm up with music where when the music stops you find a card and say the shape, some properties of the shape such as sides and think of another everyday item that is the same 2D shape.
