This is Lesson 3 in a series of 5 lessons that explores different drawing techniques and materials with your 1/2 students.


Inspired by Montana Owen’s caricature portrait of her sister, in this lesson, students will:


  • Consider drawings that represent different cultures.
  • Draw self-portraits that represent themselves and their own culture. 
  • Further explore the ‘subject’ of an artwork.
