Christmas Maths Activities with Ten Frames 

  • Colour copy and laminate all the cards
  • There are two sets
  • Use as flash cards to trust the count


How many presents are needed?

  • Sequence the sacks in order of number then put the number of presents in the right bag


Which sack has more presents?

  • Set One – green background is 0-20
  • Set Two – red background 0-100
  • Colour copy, laminate and cut.
  • Place the signs in the correct place


Missing Elves 

  • Colour copy and laminate the cards
  • Place the missing elf in the correct spot


Christmas Maths Activities using cookies on a plate

  • Colour copy and laminate the plates and cookies
  • Copy as many cookie pages as you think you will need
  • Game 1 - Roll a dice and show the number by placing cookies on the plate
  • Game 2 - Roll 2 dice and add the two collections of cookies
  • Record the equation on a small whiteboard

  • Colour copy and laminate the plates and cookies

  • Work out how many lights are working.

  • One set is o’clock
  • One set is half past
  • Spread them out and match the correct labels


Graphing

  • Count the items and graph
  • Use the coloured picture to graph the data and then formulate 10 questions to get a buddy to solve


Groups of cutlery

  • Roll a dice (6 -10 -12 sided) if you roll a 3 – you need three sets of cutlery and then you need to work out that 3 x 3 = 9 pieces of cutlery
