Description
This is Lesson 3 in a series of 5 lessons that explores visual conventions and drawing processes and materials, to create drawings that communicate ideas, perspectives and meaning.
Inspired by Anthony Galea’s coloured pencil and pastel wildlife portrait, in this lesson, students will:
- Consider cultures, times and places when discussing artists and their work.
- Create a drawing representing either Australian culture or another culture, time or place using coloured pencils.
- Describe the culture, time and/or place their drawing represents and the drawing techniques they used to create it.
Designed to make your art teacher life easier, the included lesson plans, assessment and slides to use during the lesson are aligned to the Australian Visual Arts Curriculum 9.0.
