Overview
Description
In this activity children practice reading CVCC & CCVC words by playing a fun and fast-paced game! This resource can be used as a literacy small group task to develop reading fluency. All Australian state print options are included.
To play, children take turns choosing a card. They read the word shown and keep the card. If a 'POP!' card is drawn, that player must return their cards to the bottom of the pile! 'YUM!' cards are treated as freebies for players to keep as they are turned over. The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner!
