Description
You will develop phonemic skills quickly when you use Flip Books. They take some time to prepare but they are gold standard when they are needed. The CVCC level introduces terminal consonant blends and is a critical step to reading success. Reading alone will not provide the time and practice that some students will need, but five to ten minutes before reading will make a difference to decoding skills. Supplement that with a targeted game and you have a beginning reader who demonstrates progress and is full of confidence.
This Flip Book comes with two Word Banks, one arranged by onsets; the other by rime. Both have suggestions for using the Flip Book and cues to target specific skill areas.
The Triple P Screener for Phonics, Phonology and Phonemics will help with ideas for further strategies if needed.
Directions for assembling the Flip Book are included. They are also in the PREVIEW.
