Description
Add fun and serious phonemic development with this all-ability game. It contains:
- --- 7 Boards (with 4 rimes per board)
- --- Directions
- --- 45 letter tiles (onsets)
- --- Rime Posters A5 Size (20)
- --- Word Bank arranged by Onset
- --- Word Bank arranged by Rime
This game was designed for my students to develop phonemic skills, particularly blending. It doubles as an intervention resource as players match onsets and rimes prior to learning how to play. This makes it an all-ability game with gains in fluency all around. The Word Banks are included to facilitate group work with a teaching assistant (or parents if you can send them home).
The mini posters do not cover all the rimes included in the game but should be helpful as student support or classroom display.
My focus is foundation skills in literacy and numeracy and my games target children's natural motivation to want to play. The more they play the more fluent they will become.
