FINAL CONSONANT BLENDS INTERACTIVE POWERPOINT
Overview
Description
My 'Final Consonant Blends' Interactive PowerPoint was designed to teach your students that Final or End Blends are made up of 2 adjoining consonants that hold their own sounds. It clearly demonstrates and models that final blends are presented after a vowel in a word.
It includes flashcards, decodable sentences, decodable games, opportunities to decode and encode, sentences that can be used as dictation and opportunities to apply learning in a multi sensory way. If you teach using a structured synthetic phonics approach- like me, then your students will be blending words with explicitly taught sounds already- including words with blends. For me, I am using this as a review pack for Grade One. It is helping us reinforce key language such as consonants and vowels as well as allowing students to apply their existing knowledge of letter sounds. The words are all editable in this resource, enabling you to change the words to suit your needs and to align to your scope and sequences. The main point of this PowerPoint is to get across to students that each consonant holds its own sound in a blend.
Like all my Interactive Phonics PowerPoints, it comes in 6 state fonts.
