Description

In this activity, children match numbers 0-20 in different representations and link them together with plastic chain links (or similar). Numbers are represented as a numeral, word, ten frame, tally marks, dots (0-10) and blocks (10-20).

This task develops number recognition and counting skills, with a fine motor element that ensures it is hands on and engaging for your learners. It is perfect to use as a maths small group activity, as a 'Fast Finisher' option, or for individual number recognition practice.

To prepare this resource, simply print and laminate the number cards you wish you use. Black & white options have been included if you would prefer to print to coloured paper. Cut and hole punch to create a unique activity that your learners will love!
