Numbers, Number Names and Pop Sticks: All the Numbers 1-100 - DONKEY Card Games - AC9M1N01, AC9M1N02
Overview
Description
This is the product you need to cater for all ability levels when the numbers 1 to 100 are being taught. This is the step between concrete materials and abstract practice. It targets AC9M1N01 and AC9M1N02 depending on how you use it. There are three sets representing all the numbers:
- Numbers
- Number Names
- Pop Sticks
Yes, there are a lot of cards, but you can use them in so many ways:
> MATCHING: Select numbers to suit your learners and match with number names or pop stick representations
> SEQUENCING: Select consecutive or random numbers for students to place in order from lowest to highest or select a sequence and have a group work it out
> PLAY GO-FISH: Select enough matching card pairs so each player has five cards and there is a deck of about 20 cards. Players take turns asking another player if they have a card to match one already in their hand. If they do, they hand it over. If they don't they say "Go fish" and the player who asked has to pick up from the deck.
> PLAY MEMORY: Select pairs and place face down between players who take turns to choose cards to try and make a pair
> PLAY FAMILIES: Select sets of three. Deal three cards to each player and place the rest (about 21 cards), face down, in the middle. Each player takes turns to choose a card from the middle. The aim is to have a matching set of three. They can keep the card and discard one of their own, or replace it exactly where it was FACE DOWN. All players see this card and may pick it up when it is their turn.
